ExxonMobil has been working with the South West Community Development Council and the grassroots to organise a programme that benefits residents living in rental blocks. Volunteers pack grocery bags and distribute them to those households over a day and also spend time engaging with them.
Outstanding Social Worker Awards
The Outstanding Social Worker Awards recognises exemplary social workers for their consistent and professional contributions towards the improvement of social work here. This programme was first launched by the then-Ministry of Community Development in 1998 and the awards are given out by the President of Singapore.
Running for a Cause
ExxonMobil in Singapore has a passionate running culture and for the past few years, our company-wide running carnival has raised funds in support of a chosen “cause” or charitable organization. The company matches employee donations to raise money for a selected charity.
ExxonMobil - SWCDC bursary
ExxonMobil works with the South West Community Development Council to identify and distribute transport bursaries to students from low-income households in the South West District. Since its commencement in 2006, more than 5,000 students from primary, secondary schools and junior colleges in the district have benefitted from this bursary, which helps them with their school-going transport expenses. From 2014 onwards, some 1,000 students are expected to benefit from this scheme every year.
